たとえば「読書が好き」という。
すると「年間何冊読んでるの？」と聞かれる。
「読むの遅いから月３冊で…まあ40冊いかないくらいかなあ」と答える。
次に来るのは「えっ、そんな少ないのに読書好きって言えるの？」
以下
「好きな作家は？」
「えーと、伊坂幸太郎とか、村上春樹かなあ」
「えっ、そんなメジャーなのしか読んでないのに読書好きって言えるの！」
「じゃあさ、伊坂幸太郎の経歴でさ、こうこうこういうのあるじゃない？あと交友関係が〜で…」
「あ、ごめん、作者のことはよくわからない。既刊は全部読んでるけど…」
「えっ、作者の周辺情報も知らないで読書好きって言えるの！」
自分は「読書が好き」としか言ってない。
本を読むのが好き。
でも「そんなので読書が好きって言えるの？」っていうのは、どういうことなんだろう。
好きというのに資格がいるんだろうか。
読書にかぎらず、漫画でも、アニメでも、ゲームでも。詳しくないと好きと言っちゃいけないんだろうか。

僕はむしろ、終電の時間を早めたほうがいいと思っているぐらいだ。夕ごはんを家に帰ってから家族と食べて、日付が変わる前にはしっかり眠る。「世界一ビジネスのしやすい事業環境」よりも、こういった「世界一人間らしい暮らしができる都市」のほうが、僕には魅力的に見える
